Easy Spring Card

This easy spring card makes me antsy for the warm weather. Spring is my favorite season. I look forward to watching the flowers and trees bud, and seeing the fresh green color of the leaves wishing I had an ink pad that exact same color.

Easy spring card using the My Meadow stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Event though there is a lot going on in this card, it is still considered a SIP card. I used an embossing folder on the So Saffron card stock, but the card would be just as lovely without it.

I started with a piece of Highland Heather card stock for the base. Purple has always been my favorite color. I find it hard to resist using it on everything, lol.

Then I embossed the So Saffron card stock with an embossing folder. The lacy embossing adds an elegant look to the card.

Making the Easy Spring Card

I found the Rococo Rose card stock on my desk. It was cut the exact size I used on the card. It’s and interesting look to have the card stock edges sticking out the top and bottom but not on the sides.

I enjoyed stamping this easy spring card so much. The My Meadow stamp set has so much possibility. I can’t wait to dig in with this set a bit more.

The ink pads I used are Crumb Cake, Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Highland Heather, and Balmy Blue.

When creating the trees, I stamped the flowers first in Rococo Rose. Then stamped the leaves around it in Pear Pizzazz. I used the same stamp for the flowers and leaves. Using the same stamp for two different purposes increases the value of your stamp sets.

Here is a close up of the stamped panel. I stamped the card and then cut it out with a rectangle die that added the pierced look around the edges.

Making this easy spring card put a smile on my face. It is so cheerful.

I didn’t add a sentiment to the card so I can use it for any occasion.
